Commissioners approve $200,000 Restore Allen contractor payment and hire Gensyn Design for coordination work

Commissioner Ronald W. Turpin introduced the next phase of the Restore Allen Initiative and the board approved two related items: an Independent Contractor Agreement with Churchward Logistics, LLC to receive $200,000 from county opioid funds to support the initiative and an agreement with Gensyn Design, LLC to help build functioning teams and advance implementation.
Turpin said Gensyn has been involved since the beginning and called the firm an expert in "strategic doing." The Gensyn work will coordinate closely with Judge David Zent, Sheriff Troy Hershberger and Prosecutor Mike McAlexander. Therese M. Brown moved approval of the items and both passed 3-0.
