Public Health reports spike alert work and Narcan vending-machine distribution

Matthew Marmor, Interim Director of Public Health, told the Subcommittee that a June 3 spike alert meeting identified people to add to the monitoring list and clarified vetting and reporting processes. He said the exercise helped improve case tracking and information sharing.
Marmor said the department is installing a second harm‑reduction vending machine and is consulting the community about placement. He reported that "Addison’s harm reduction vending machine is back up and going. It distributed 16 boxes of Narcan in May and in June." Committee members discussed placement sensitivity and community concerns but took no formal vote on locations.
