The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners met at 9:00 a.m. July 21, 2025, in the Commission Room at the Cherokee County Courthouse in Columbus and approved routine business including minutes, payroll and payables. Commissioner Cory Moates moved "to approve the minutes as presented from July 14, 2025, meeting," Commissioner Jack Garner seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Moates used the same motion-and-second pattern for the day’s other routine approvals: he moved to approve payroll "as presented," with Garner seconding, and the board approved payables after the same procedure. Chair Myra Carlisle Frazier presided over the session. The meeting record shows no dissenting votes for these items and no further debate was recorded in the transcript.
