Board adopts 2025 final tax levy; chair says county finalization expected in spring

The Lake Forest CHSD 115 board moved to adopt the 2025 final tax levy and approved the motion by roll call.
Chair (speaker 1) framed the vote as the board’s approval step and noted the district will continue discussions on financial philosophy, capital expenditure benchmarks and other fiscal drivers before the levy is technically final. “albeit this is the final tax levy, this is what we're approving today... it doesn't go technically final to the county until late March, early April,” the chair said.
The motion was moved by a board member (speaker 13) and seconded; the roll call recorded affirmative votes from Miss Helms, Miss Connell Donahue, Miss Zinsser, Mister Noble, Mister Weinburner and Miss Gammerith. The chair declared "Motion carries."
