Administrator (S4) presented an informational overview of the Mendocino County committee on school district reorganization, explaining the committee's responsibilities for territory transfers, unifications, annexations, trustee area changes and public hearings.
S4 said the committee exists to ensure district lines and election structures adapt to demographic change and legal requirements and that the last significant item to come before the body was a change from at‑large to trustee area elections in Ukiah Unified. He noted the committee meets twice a year as needed and that the next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 14, 2026; no petitions or actions were on the agenda for this meeting.
