Planning commission OKs consent items, continues Item 4 to Aug. 27

The Rapid City Planning Commission approved items 1–3 on the consent calendar in a single voice vote, following staff recommendation. Chair explained that action on consent items is final unless appealed in writing to the Department of Community Development by the close of business on the seventh full calendar day after the commission’s action.
At the applicant’s request, Commissioner Mike moved to continue Item 4 to the commission’s next meeting on Aug. 27; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff noted that any party may remove items from the consent calendar for separate consideration and that city council makes the final decision on planning commission recommendations if appealed.
