The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners approved a tentative balanced budget for July that the county administrator said demonstrates a balanced revenue and expenditure position under current projections.
Deputy Administrator Young summarized the package: "It does, show a 3% cost of living increase for board employees as well as increased allocations to account for staff cost of living adjustments only for the constitutionals with the note that we could revisit the constitutional request for their entire appropriation following the November vote vote on tax reform when we have a better idea of where that is headed." A commissioner moved to approve the tentative balanced budget "as presented;" the motion was seconded and the Chair called the vote. The motion carried.
Young also pointed to a revenue and expenditure summary showing the county can achieve a balanced budget with current revenues and expenditures. The board did not record a roll-call in the transcript; the motion passed by vocal assent.
