Town Administrator Michael Branley presented several new Standard Operating Procedures. The Board voted 3-0 to adopt the MSDC Special Revenue Fund SOP and the Police Public Safety Detail Revolving Fund SOP. Branley explained that the MSDC fund collects money tied to water usage sales and is used to pay related debt; collections are slightly behind scheduled debt payments.
The Board discussed the Fire Cistern Special Revenue Fund, which Branley said has collected a little over $2,000 in ten years—far below the roughly $40,000 estimated cost to install a cistern, according to Chief McPherson. The Board discussed whether to change or eliminate that fund. The Board also reviewed the new Searles Revolving Fund created this year to replace the Searles Special Revenue Fund.
