Fredonia board moves to closed session and approves terms on TID parcel and Fox Glen raise order

The Village Board entered closed session on Aug. 6 to discuss two real-estate matters: the potential purchase of Parcel Number 619 on Innovation Drive (a small Tax Increment District parcel owned by Ideal Tree Service) and a raise order for 139 Fox Glen Road. Administrator Jenkins noted both topics may require closed-session discussion because they involve active negotiations.

By roll call the board approved going into closed session. After returning to open session the board recorded an action directing Administrator Jenkins "to consult with the attorneys, continue to consult with the attorneys on the issue." The board then moved to approve the terms discussed in closed session for the raise order and the potential purchase; motions were made and carried by voice vote.

Jenkins characterized Parcel 619 as the smallest parcel in the TID and said the developer’s agreement clock had run; the property owner expressed interest in selling back to the village. Regarding 139 Fox Glen Road, Jenkins said the board had finalized stipulations in the contract with both the property owner and the mortgage company but that one negotiating detail remained. In closed session the board authorized staff to proceed on the terms discussed and returned with motions to approve those terms publicly.
