Board reappoints Denise Bush and Jan Cargill to Sanilac County Planning Commission

The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners voted on Aug. 19 to reappoint Denise Bush and Jan Cargill to three-year terms on the county planning commission, with terms expiring Sept. 1, 2028.
Chair (speaker_6) introduced the two current planning commissioners and invited brief remarks. Denise Bush said she has served on the planning commission since 2019 and has been the commission secretary since 2020; "you'd be in the secretary of the accounting planning commission," the chair said in praise of her work. Janet Cargill described her motivation to preserve the county’s mix of agriculture, small cities and villages and said she would continue to prepare and participate in commission business.
Commissioner Sarkella moved to reappoint both members; Commissioner Ballard provided support. With no discussion, the board adopted the motion by voice vote. The reappointments were recorded as part of the appointments agenda item and will be reflected in county appointment records.
