She said administrators were retrained on the Standard Response Protocol, the district completed an after‑action (hot wash) with eight law‑enforcement agencies, and the district reinstated a safety committee and scheduled OSHA consultation. Kallison described actions already underway, including ordering stop‑the‑bleed kits, training custodial staff on harnesses, and piloting the SaferWatch crisis‑management app at the high school.
Kallison said consultant reports recommended a number of physical upgrades: "we needed to add ... a comprehensive cloud based camera system district wide," improved exterior lighting, secure vestibules and controlled access at certain sites; she also noted generator needs for rural sites so they can maintain communications and ParentSquare messages during outages. The superintendent emphasized communications templates (preloaded messages in ParentSquare) and designated roles for emergency response as key next steps.
