The Buncombe County Board of Adjustment approved a special‑use permit on June 10 to add one mobile‑home space at Willow Court, located at 18 Willow Court. Staff certified proper notice and said the 1.58‑acre project will be served by public water and sewer and does not request any deviations from zoning.
"My name is Joe Krueger. I'm the owner of Plott Hound LLC... Between those 2 parks, there's spaces for approximately 20 units as, approved in the park plans. In this case, we're adding an additional unit," Joseph Krueger told the board. Krueger said the new space fills a footprint created by an earlier demolition and that the proposed placement is outside the mapped flood zone; he also explained that most units in the park are park‑owned and that the added unit will be park‑owned as well.
Board members asked about floodplain exposure and setbacks; Krueger said in prior storms water affected skirting but not living spaces and that the new placement is outside the flood zone. The board adopted findings of fact and approved the permit. Staff will prepare the final order for the board to sign.
