The Steuben County board approved a memorandum of understanding with the Village of Bath to install a bus shelter at the Dana Lyons building. Marie (speaker S3) told the board the agreement leaves ownership of the property with the village while the county is responsible for the shelter infrastructure; the village will receive the delivered shelter, assemble it and handle ongoing maintenance.
Marie also reported the county approved a separate procurement action: a Handy Hut shelter bid for a five-by-15-foot domed shelter with a bench for $17,825. The board moved and approved both items by voice vote. "It has a bench," Marie said when asked about seating in the unit, and members noted the shelter will fit the county's new ADA-compliant concrete pad.
