County accepts $20,000 Local Government Efficiency grant and will subcontract with Southern Tier Central

Chelsea Robertson told the committee Southern Tier Central (STC) was awarded a $20,000 Local Government Efficiency Program grant from New York State and sought County acceptance of the award with STC to administer the grant work.
"This is only a $20,000 grant," Robertson said, describing the funds as technical assistance to help communities in Steuben, Schuyler and Chemung counties write grants and implement efficiency projects. She asked the County to accept the award and subcontract with STC for administration; the committee approved the arrangement 4-0.
STC will provide the technical assistance while the County serves as the contracting entity with the State, Robertson said; staff will coordinate any required subcontract paperwork.
