Residents report appraisal error and alleged salvage-yard conditions; commissioners request investigations

John Brookins, identified as a rural Cherokee County resident, raised a second matter about 1414 Fir Road in Baxter Springs, reporting trash and sewage on the property and saying the volume of run-down vehicles, mowers and appliances made it appear to be a salvage yard. The board directed Emergency Management to look into Brookins’ report; minutes do not record any regulatory action or timeline for response.
