Commissioners approve $1-per-hour raises for two Register of Deeds employees

Commissioner Cory Moates moved to increase Jess Frasher's hourly rate from $15.00 to $16.00; Commissioner Myra Carlisle Frazier seconded and the motion passed unanimously. A separate, similar motion increased Michaela Histand's pay from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour and was approved by the board.
The minutes show the raises were recorded and the Register of Deeds' 2026 budget was reviewed with Register Karen Johnston. The county clerk or payroll office will process the personnel changes in accordance with county payroll procedures.
