On June 22 the Legislature took several personnel actions. Resolution 144-26 created one full-time Paralegal Assistant position (CSEA Grade J, $48,319–$71,475) in the District Attorney’s Office for succession planning; the 2026 Management Salary Plan was amended accordingly. Resolution 145-26 reclassified one currently filled Cleaner (CSEA Grade A) to Custodian (CSEA Grade D) in the Department of Buildings & Grounds and amended the County Job Classification and Salary Schedule.
Resolution 146-26 confirmed the County Manager’s appointment of Jean A. Peterson of Bath as Director of Purchasing; an oath of office will be filed in the County Clerk’s Office and certified copies of the confirmation will be forwarded to the appointee, the County Clerk and the Personnel Officer. Legislators discussed whether the District Attorney planned an operational review; Mr. Wheeler said he would check with the District Attorney for updates.
