Board accepts HR report, welcomes new director of technology

Stacy Williamson presented the human-resources report and recommended the board accept several personnel updates, including two internal promotions to administrative assistant positions, hiring three new GCEA teachers who completed onboarding, one administrator resignation, one teacher retirement, and one approved leave of absence. The board approved the report by voice vote.
Williamson noted the district completed onboarding for "mister Steven Shemansky, who has joined our team, as our new director of technology." After the approval, Shemansky addressed the board, saying, "Just that I am excited to be a part of the team. There's a lot of excitement around Durham City." Board members congratulated the new hires and welcomed the incoming director.
