Clerk (Speaker 6) told commissioners that department heads will present budgets on May 26 and that a first draft is expected June 12; the clerk asked commissioners to note calendar dates and prepare departmental questions in advance. "May 26, department heads will present their budgets to you," the clerk said while presenting the budget calendar.
Separately, commissioners agreed to review HR applications and hold an executive session next Monday so that commissioners and selected staff (Keith and Chancey) can review candidate packets. The board also discussed outstanding FEMA paperwork and agreed staff will try to locate project numbers and documentation for storm reimbursements before the next meeting. Several routine administrative motions followed, including approval of accounts payable ($113,213.05) and approval of April 6 minutes, both passed by voice vote.
