OCCK reports 950 county rides, adds Delphos stops and new app for riders

An OCCK transportation representative told the commissioners the nonprofit provided roughly 950 rides to Ottawa County residents over the past year and that the service has added stops in Delphos and connections to Concordia, Belleville and Salina. “Numbers in the packet, we gave 950 rides to people in Ottawa County this past year,” the presenter said.
The presenter described the service mix as roughly 40% medical, 40% work‑related and the remainder education or recreation trips, and said demand for work‑related trips has grown. OCCK also noted a new OCCK Transportation app to sign up for service, request rides and track trips. Commissioners discussed coordination with Salina’s Citibus and local health‑department partners and asked about using the model in neighboring counties.
Commissioners praised the Delphos stop pilot and asked staff to continue monitoring ridership, costs, and opportunities to expand stops or coordinate with county public‑health transportation. OCCK said it will continue outreach to expand coordinated transit in rural areas.
