Planning Commission unanimously approves Homestead design review; appeal deadline Aug. 22

The Dixon City Planning Commission voted unanimously (5–0, Commissioners Diaz and Drayton absent) on Aug. 12 to approve design review for the Sunrise and Celebration at Homestead subdivision with multiple conditions including single-story limits on Lots 14–18 and added brick veneer across all models.
Commissioner Allard moved to adopt the resolution as read by staff; Chair Caldwell seconded. Brandy called the roll for the motion and each present commissioner voted yes. Staff advised members of the 10-calendar-day appeal period: "The planning commission decision is final unless appeal to the city council within 10 calendar days ending Friday, August 22 at 5PM. Anyone wishing to appeal this decision must file an appeal application... and submit the required appeal fee."
