The Town Council approved the consent agenda at its Sept. 10 meeting. Mayor Pro-Tem Rob Watson moved to approve Consent items 1 (minutes for August 2024), 3 (approval of amended Spreadsheet 2024) and 4 (bills paid for September 2024); Councilmember Stonie Hamilton seconded and the motion carried 4-0.
Separately, Watson moved to approve Consent item 2 (financials for August 2024) with a specific financing action: renewing the Certificate of Obligation with Plains Capital for a six-month period and possibly opening a new Certificate of Obligation with Wells Fargo for $170,000. Councilmember Kirk Joseph seconded and that motion also carried 4-0. The minutes record the motions and outcomes but do not provide underwriting terms or a timetable for issuance of a new certificate.
