City Clerk Lana Smith told the council the city received a Waste Tire Grant that will fund benches along Main Street and picnic benches at the park; purchases will be available after May 1, 2026. She also alerted the council that city certificates of deposit will mature in May (05/01/2026, 05/08/2026 and 05/25/2026) and the council may need to issue bids if it elects to re-invest.
Clerk Smith reported the bulk water station is down and she will seek pricing to replace the coin machine; Public Works Superintendent Caleb Ironsyde indicated that replacing the coin machine should remedy the outage. Mayor Kathy Miller said storm sirens had repairs completed and that she and Public Works staff were optimistic the city pool can be repaired for the season; an ad for lifeguards will be posted.
