City Clerk Lana Smith presented a list of city boards for which the city seeks memoranda of understanding and the council asked the clerk to prepare a questionnaire for each board. Smith also reminded the council that the city's insurance renewal will come due on April 1, 2026 and that she is working with the city's broker.
Operations updates included a Police Chief Kirk Richardson report about oversized loads traveling down Main Street; the clerk said a petition to vacate an alley has been mailed and the process will start once returned. Public Works Superintendent Caleb Ironsyde reported that several work trucks will soon need tires and the council asked staff to collect bids from both local companies. Councilmember Wellington Butler moved to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the city but the motion died for lack of a second. The meeting adjourned at 6:39 PM.
