Sedan council appoints Kathy Miller as council president during swearing-in

Mayor Bryan Blankinship called the Sedan City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and presided over the swearing-in of new council members Adam Clark, Crystal Wade and Wellington Butler. Adam Clark then stepped down from the council president position and moved to appoint Councilmember Kathy Miller as council president; Angela Evans seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
The action was part of routine organizational business at the start of the meeting. No dissent was recorded. The meeting minutes show the council then moved to address standard agenda items, including approval of prior meeting minutes and payment of city bills.
