Winnsboro ISD board approves 2025-26 insurance, emergency plan and WHS Lady Raider trip

After returning from closed session Sept. 15, the Winnsboro ISD board approved 2025-26 insurance coverage, adopted the district Emergency Operations Plan and approved the WHS Lady Raider varsity basketball out-of-state trip to Idabel (Dec. 29-31, 2025).
The Winnsboro Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved several operational items on Sept. 15. The motions included approval of the district's insurance coverage for 2025-2026 and adoption of the 2025-2026 WISD Emergency Operations Plan (EOP); both motions carried 6-0.
Trustees also approved the WHS Lady Raider varsity basketball team's out-of-state trip to the Idabel Winter Classic Tournament, scheduled for Dec. 29-31, 2025. The motions were recorded in the minutes as: "to approve Insurance Coverage for 2025-2026" and "to approve the WHS Lady Raider Varsity Basketball team out-of-state for a basketball tournament in Idabel Winter Classic Tournament for December 29-31, 2025."
