Texas County commissioners approve claims, payroll and large highway purchase orders

Commissioner Levi Bickford moved and Commissioner Dolan Sledge seconded the motion to approve claims covering multiple funds (General, General Reserve, district accounts and others). Approved items listed by the County Clerk included a $2,040 services claim to Apprentice Information Systems, multiple Amazon supply charges, utility payments to TCEC and the City of Guymon, and district fuel and maintenance bills. The roll call was recorded as Aye: Sledge, Bickford, Edwards.
The board also approved payroll registers showing individual and departmental payouts. Sample entries recorded in the minutes include $5,205.21 for Treasurer Aimee Midkiff and other recurring payroll amounts and stipends (several $800 and $1,000 one-time payments appeared in the register).
Commissioners approved blanket purchase orders for ongoing operations, including District #3 purchase order 270646 to Ergon Asphalt for $150,000 and Texhoma Auto & Hardware P.O. 270645 for $5,000. Commissioner Dolan Sledge moved to approve the blanket P.O.s; Commissioner Bickford seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board recorded no opposing votes for these procedural items and moved on to other agenda business.
