Community Development Director Howse told the board July 27 that the Oscoda Township Master Plan is on schedule to be presented to the Planning Commission in October, and a Master Plan ad hoc committee meeting is set for Thursday morning. She also said a new traffic light will be installed at the intersection of Cedar Lake Road and F-41 on Wednesday, July 29.
Howse reported other local items including filing the second-quarter MSHDA report, notice of the Pirates and Mermaids Festival this weekend and Paul Bunyan Days in September. The minutes show several committee and authority written reports were included in the meeting packet.
Why it matters: the Master Plan timeline and the new traffic signal affect land-use planning and traffic flow for residents, and the installation date gives nearby residents and drivers a near-term schedule to plan around.
