The Oscoda Township Board voted unanimously July 27 to accept and place on file the township's annual financial report and the independent auditor's report for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2025.
Ian Rees of Gabridge and Co. presented the audit to the board. After discussion, Trustee Cummings moved and Supervisor Tregear moved the acceptance; the motion carried on a 5-0 vote with Trustees Linderman, Cummings, McGuire, Wygant and Supervisor Tregear voting yea and Trustees Tait and Fortner recorded as absent.
Why it matters: accepting the auditor's report finalizes the financial review for 2025 and places the audit on record for public inspection. The consent and acceptance followed routine audit presentation procedures and no further follow-up action was recorded in the minutes.
The board also reviewed consent-agenda financial items earlier in the meeting, including prepaid check runs listing $30,477.06 on June 11 and $61,930.78 on June 23 and a WEX charge for May 2026 of $11,329.47.
