During public comment at the Jan. 9 meeting, resident C. Hamlin raised concerns about people failing to pick up after dogs and said he planned to block Trimountain Avenue in front of 1902 Tap & Grill for bands on the Fourth of July. He also updated the council on local development timing for the old Fred’s building and a lot next to the post office.
The Village of South Range Fire Department reported a busy community season. M. Balma (VOSRFD) said the department “had over 200 kids at this year’s Christmas in South Range, and everything went well,” and noted the fire truck pump was tested and passed. C. Holmes of UPEA told the council he will have a plan to EGLE by the end of the month for the drainage ditch, that advertising for Whealkate paving will be published around Jan. 27 with work around Feb. 27, and he reviewed desludging plans for the lagoons.
