The Sedgwick County Board of Bids and Contracts approved May 8 a quote from Relias LLC for $297,646.20 to provide a learning-management system and the IDD (intellectual and developmental disability) training library for affiliated developmental-disability agencies for 48 months beginning July 1, 2025.
"Recommend to accept the quote from Relias LLC in the amount of $297,646.20 for a period of 48 months beginning 07/01/2025 and good through 06/30/2029," Lee Barrier, representing the Department of Aging and Disabilities, told the board. Jeanette Livingston, deputy director of the Central County Developmental Disability Organization, said the county purchased access to Relias and selected the IDD library to ensure appropriate training and that the library is specific to the Relias LMS.
Board members asked whether the county's own LMS could link to the Relias library to reduce cost; Livingston said she would check with the vendor about options for affiliated agencies, noting the library was purchased for use with Relias and that adding access outside the Relias system may be limited. After discussion a motion was made and the board voted aye (Kim Myers, Philip DeVolt, Anna Meyerhoff Cole) to accept the quote.
The meeting record does not specify whether the county's central LMS will be used in lieu of a Relias-hosted environment or detail the funding source beyond the quoted amount.
