Bridal Secola, representing the Barrington Lions Club, used the public-comment period to thank President Moran, trustees and village staff — police, fire and public works — for their support of the club's Fourth of July family events and for the high turnout and sponsor support that made the events possible.
Secola noted this was his 34th year organizing the event, praised staff assistance and volunteers, and singled out the positive resident interactions with police officers during events. Several trustees later echoed thanks to the Lions Club and congratulated the promoted firefighters and retiring assistant chief. Trustees also urged residents to exercise caution with back-to-school traffic and ongoing downtown paving work on Cook and Station streets.
