Commissioners approve MOU with Central Lyon Fire Protection District for concurrent building plan review

Community Development Director Gavin Henderson described a proposed MOU intended to streamline permitting by allowing Lyon County and the Central Lyon Fire Protection District to perform concurrent building plan reviews and coordinate fees and inspections. The Board had the item for possible action and heard no public opposition.
Commissioner John Cassinelli moved to approve the MOU; Commissioner Robert Jacobson seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. The MOU is intended to reduce permit turnaround time by aligning review steps between county and district staff.
