Montgomery approves $4,000 NRPC contract to support PSB renovation planning

The Montgomery Selectboard voted unanimously to enter an agreement with the Northeastern Vermont Regional Planning Commission (NRPC) for $4,000 in planning services to support the Police Station/Fire Station (PSB) renovation project.
Chris Dixson-Boles moved to sign the NRPC contract, funded by a mini-grant from the Vermont Buildings and General Services (BGS) program, to provide administrative assistance, project tracking and communications support related to the MERP grant and reimbursement requests. The motion passed 5-0.
NRPC’s engagement is intended to supplement existing MERP support and help the town maximize available reimbursements; the contract requires no local match, according to meeting materials. Marlena Valenta of NRPC was present via Zoom as a visitor. The board did not record specific deliverables beyond project tracking and reimbursement assistance in the minutes.
