Listers set grievance deadline: COA notices to be mailed; Grievance Day June 19, 9 a.m.–noon

The Board of Listers confirmed procedures and deadlines for owners who wish to contest 2026 valuation changes at its May 28, 2026 special meeting. Assessor Clerk Elizabeth Reighley said COA notices for properties with valuation changes will be mailed by certified mail "this same day" to notify owners of their right to grieve the new assessment.
Reighley explained that "Grievance Applications must be received in writing on or before June 19th, 2026 (by 9am). Grievance Day will be held from 9-noon on June 19th to hear any applicants grieving their 2026 Grand list Value." She also said she will provide property record cards and cost sheets to the board in advance so members can review any applications and prepare questions.
