Summary

The Montgomery Board of Listers lodged the 2026 Abstract Grand List with the Town Clerk at a special meeting on May 28, 2026, after completing reviews of property transfers, Current Use updates and homestead declarations. Elizabeth Reighley, the town’s Assessor Clerk, presented the completed abstract and the supporting reports.
Reighley told the board that the State Property Valuation and Review (PVR) set new utility values this year and that "communications equipment now [is] valued as real estate and thus taxable by the Town." With that change reflected in the draft abstract, the board lodged the document with the Town Clerk and agreed to meet again after Grievance Hearings to lodge the Final Grand List pending any appeals.
