Town Administrator Erin Braband presented four quotes to remove the existing mulch at Lakeview Park and prepare the base for rubber mulch and one quote for pea gravel. Commissioner Walter Chase moved to approve Peake Contracting’s bid for $5,550 to remove existing mulch, grade, install two layers of fabric and four layers of sand, and to approve Playground Outfitters’ quote for $10,021.40 for rubber mulch; Commissioner Rose Potter seconded. The motion passed with Commissioners Michael Sullivan, President Schmidt, Potter and Chase voting in favor and Commissioner Jeremy Newnam voting against, producing a 4–1 approval tally. The council did not record further conditions attached to the award in the workshop minutes.
