Trappe Town Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 5-2024 on Dec. 4, authorizing the issuance and sale of bonds with a par amount up to $1,141,000 to finance repairs, upgrades and replacements of sanitary sewer pumping stations and related town public improvements. President Schmidt announced the ordinance on the agenda and noted that the public hearing earlier in the evening generated no public comment.
Commissioner Newnam moved for adoption and Commissioner Chase seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The ordinance specifies that the bonds would be issued under the Local Government Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland and be payable from the town's full faith and credit as described in the ordinance language read into the record.
