The Cemetery Trustees confirmed Aug. 3 that the Select Board awarded the town’s cemetery tree-removal contract to Accurate Tree Service and that work is scheduled for Sept. 15–17, 2026. The trustees said they will coordinate with the Select Board to secure a signed contract, obtain a certificate of insurance and notify abutters.
Trustees noted the need to post cemetery-closure notices and to arrange interments around the planned work. The entry in the trustees’ minutes records that the trustees emailed the Select Board to confirm the dates and received a response confirming the timetable. No vote was recorded by the trustees at this meeting; the Select Board made the award on July 7, 2026.
