Council refers two S&S Rentals assessment objections to Spink County Assessor

Rod Tobin, representing S&S Rentals, presented spreadsheets for two Redfield properties and told the council he believes the assessments "do not accurately reflect the market value of the property." Councilmember Brent Derscheid moved and Councilmember Jessi Lewis seconded motions to refer both the Prairie Winds Addition (Lots 5 & 6) and the Nelsons Sub-Division (Block 2, Lots 1–4) objections back to the Spink County Assessor for review. Both motions carried unanimously.
The referrals mean the county assessor will reexamine the contested assessments; the transcript records no council vote against referral and notes Rod Tobin exited the teleconference at 6:39 p.m. The minutes do not include the spreadsheets or the assessor's subsequent determinations.
