Redfield City Council hears equalization appeals; several cases referred to Spink County Assessor

The Redfield City Council convened a special session via teleconference and at City Hall on March 16, 2026, to review objections to real property assessments filed on Form PT 17. Mayor Frank Schwartz called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m.; the council adopted the agenda on a motion by Councilmember Mike Siebrecht, seconded by Councilmember Jessi Lewis. All decisions recorded at the meeting were unanimous among members present.
The council considered multiple appeals from property owners and representatives. Several applications — including two from S&S Rentals and two from Peterson-Bahde Coleman Home — were referred back to the Spink County Assessor for further review. The council also approved valuation adjustments for two property owners per the Director of Equalization's recommendations. The meeting was adjourned at 6:56 p.m.
