County issues four proclamations, swears in Access Advisory Board member and hears public comment on Amtrak access

The board also approved two Access Advisory Board appointments and swore in John Crane, who described his 25‑year career as a Wichita police officer and his personal stake as the father of two disabled children. Earlier in the public‑agenda portion, Andrew Crane of Guiding Paws urged the county to coordinate with Wichita and state partners on passenger rail access into Wichita and raised accessibility concerns for seniors and people with disabilities.
Commissioners praised the proclamations and recognized county staff and volunteers for public‑works and EMS service.
