Paula Pintar named Caledonia trustee; board adopts ranked selection process for finalists

Paula Pintar introduced herself in the interview as a long-time Caledonia resident and health-care professional who described priorities including transparent budgeting, protecting rural character, careful use of tax-increment financing and greater community engagement. After the board’s nomination and a second, the appointment motion carried by voice vote, Pintar took the oath of office and the board adjourned.
The board also reminded attendees that the public test of voting machines would occur the following day and encouraged candidates who were not selected to consider future elections or committee service.
