Acting Chairman Wayne Wagner presided. The board approved a conditional-use permit allowing Erika Burrone to keep a kennel on her 2.26-acre property; the board’s Findings of Fact cited parcel size, indoor housing, sanitation measures and compliance with the Illinois Animal Welfare Act. Later the board granted a variance to Michael Lareau permitting a 35-by-36-foot garage to be placed three feet from the side property line, finding hardship based on the location of a prior foundation and site utilities (well, septic, leach field) and documentary evidence from 2024 aerial photos.
Motions to approve the Findings of Fact and the two land-use actions were made and seconded by board members; roll-call votes carried in both cases. The transcript records no formal opposition for either item. The board noted both matters will be placed on the agendas of the Tax and Zoning Committee and the County Board for subsequent processing.
