County staff reported that the Powell Library project — largely funded by an $8 million state grant and earlier ARPA allocations — has outstanding deposits and potential drainage repairs that left the county about $80,000 short. Staff asked the board to reallocate $100,000 in ARPA funds from the Law Enforcement Center HVAC allocation back to the library to cover outstanding bills and a modest contingency.
Commissioners discussed whether the reallocation would affect the HVAC project; staff said the requested move would not impact the HVAC funds already budgeted. Commissioner (speaker 4) moved to reallocate $100,000 in ARPA funds to the Powell Library project; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.
"So I guess I'd ask that we that the commissioners consider reallocating a $100,000, which should cover the 80,000 to pay those bills," staff said when requesting the reallocation.
