The Village of Hewlett Neck Board of Trustees authorized payment of general-fund claims totaling $52,349.52 on May 15 after an audit of abstract #709.
During the audit of claims the Village Treasurer confirmed that the items in abstract #709 represented goods and services actually received or performed and that each item was for a proper village purpose. Mayor Moshe Blinder moved to authorize payment of the claims; Trustee Russel Weinrib seconded the motion, which passed unanimously by those present. The minutes state: "On motion duly made by Mayor Blinder, seconded by Trustee Weinrib and adopted unanimously, the Board authorized and directed the Village Clerk/Treasurer to pay the general fund claims in the total sum of $52,349.52 set forth in abstract #709 (copy of the abstract is on file in the Village office)."
The Clerk’s office retains a copy of abstract #709 on file for public inspection.
