Commissioner O'Fold told the board that the county's revised Development Standards and Regulations (DSR) are nearly complete and that the updated document will be published on Aug. 13. He said Planning & Zoning will hold a public hearing on Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. and stressed commenters should base feedback on the Aug. 13 release because the document includes zone and use changes since June.
During the public comment period, Linda Rathman, who identified herself as a Clark resident, thanked staff for the work but said Clark residents need more time to review and want to be involved before changes become final. "We just want it to be controlled, and we wanna protect what's already there," she said.
The board directed staff to provide reviewing copies to commissioners before publication; staff indicated they expect to provide materials by the end of the week. The formal public hearing is set for Sept. 16, and the board encouraged residents to review the Aug. 13 version when submitting comments.
