Caledonia trustees send proposed 2027 wage scale back to finance after concerns about level changes

Trustee (6) said the board’s earlier policy and review process must be reconciled with the proposed chart and announced a refusal to approve the measure until those differences are resolved. “So I will vote no until this goes back to finance,” the trustee said. Other trustees echoed fiscal-consequence concerns, asking staff and the committee to present a clear comparison and the estimated budgetary impact. The board voted to send the wage-scale matter back to finance for further review ahead of budget season.
