The Chair proposed that the Committee of the Whole regularly review the staff-maintained work-in-progress spreadsheets at every meeting so the board and staff can collaboratively manage priorities and track what is being worked on versus deferred. "I want to get to a place where we are more actively managing work in progress," the Chair said, describing the pink-highlighted items as those currently being worked on.
A trustee seconded the proposal and the board approved it by voice vote. The Chair said the spreadsheet could be expanded over time to include additional columns and details, and the regular review is intended to reduce surprises and keep staff accountable to the board's priorities.
