Regional rep urges Rangely to identify projects as federal/state energy funding opens

“I spent my holiday putting together an application for a $6,000,000 grant to develop a 5-state regional energy hub,” the speaker said, describing a ground-up approach involving Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona and New Mexico and partnerships with economic-development districts. He urged the council to send project wish lists so staff and regional partners could identify funding matches.
The speaker also flagged a same-day executive order from the U.S. president regarding coal and urged the council to monitor how the state and utilities respond. He recommended councilors and staff review the regional annual report and reach out to AGNC staff for grant support.
